Language for Life (Learning Spanish Abroad, SL) is a Spanish language and culture academy based in Seville, Spain, which focuses on providing specialized courses for students from across the globe who wish to improve their command of the Spanish language so they can be more effective communicators at work, at school and while travelling. 
​Our motto is that foreign languages are an essential element of communication that enrich our communities for life, and for that reason, we have made culture studies an integral part of our courses.

We are dedicated to responsible travel that minimizes our environmental impact and benefits the communities we visit. Our sustainability efforts include:


  • Investing in local livelihoods:  We collaborate with local vendors, female guides, and small businesses to ensure tourism funds stay within the community – fostering economic growth, cultural exchange, and authentic experiences.
  • Greener ways to explore:  We prioritize low-impact transportation such as walking, biking, and public transit (especially Spain’s efficient train system) for both city tours and intercity travel, helping reduce emissions and enhance local immersion.
  • Staying green: We select boutique hotels and accommodations committed to eco-friendly operations – such as energy-efficient systems, water-saving technologies, and support for local staff and artisans. 
  • Inspiring sustainable habits: We promote mindful travel by encouraging the use of reusable water bottles, responsible shopping, and respect for natural and cultural sites. We also highlight common sustainable practices in Spain – such as turning off lights and AC when leaving a room, limiting water use during showers, and participating in local recycling systems – empowering guests to conserve electricity, energy, and water during their stay.
