Why are we doing this?
The COVID-19 pandemic has strained the hospital and health care systems, and providing basic medical services can often be a challenge due to oversaturation and shortage of resources. In critical situations like this, clear communication is key – especially if a patient does not have good command of English. This is where Language for Life comes in. This course is designed for individuals who have a low to intermediate level of Spanish, providing them with an extensive focus on medical vocabulary, grammar structures and Latin American cultures. |
